Johnny Werhas shook off a season long slump going 3-3 and a walk getting both his first extra base hit and first RBI. Minnie Rojas took a hard luck loss as a sure fire double play ball did not get him out of the inning.

His only nemesis was hot hitting Ken McMullen who blasted his 14th homer.
