The Yankees were the polar opposite of their beloved nickname in this game scratching out single runs off Angel starter Rickey Clark to snag a 2-0 lead. Bill Monbouquette nursed the lead thru 7 shutout innings until the Cherubs halved the lead. But the lefty-righty bullpen combo of Steve Hamilton and Dooley Womack sealed the deal putting this one in the left hand column of the ledger for the Yankees.
