NOTES: Another masterpiece from the dynamic right arm of Looey Tiant. His 16 punch outs is just one sky of the most this year held by his teammate Sam McDowell (6-9) and Beantowner Jim Lonborg (7-23). It was the 11th time Tiant had double digit whiffs in a game. Jose’ Azcue gad six RBIs in the doubleheader. Vern Fuller went deep in both games. Bill Voss got his first hit of the season. On the dubious side if stars, Tommy Agee has whiffed in 12 straight games.

STAR OF THE GAME: 1-4 2RBI
