George Scott got the Sox rolling in the opening inning, launching one onto Lansdowne street giving Jim Lonborg an early 2-0 lead. But the pesky A’s nicked the big righty for single runs in the 5th and 6th to square the contest. Irish Mike Ryan homered to put the Saux ahead but Johnny Wyatt could not hold the lead surrendering the tying run. But the Fortunate Sons of Beantown recovered to snag the win in their last at bat.
