CHICAGO (86-51) @ NEW YORK (55-83)

STARTING PITCHERS

5R (1-5 6.03) 8Z (11-7 2.71)

After pummeling the Pinstripers in a twin bill the day before, the Pale Hose were tied in fits by Fritz Peterson. Yet that Yanks had virtually no success off of Fred Klages either. The game tied at nil, the Yanks finally grabbed the lead in the bottom of 7. Thankfully that was all Fritz needed because that was all he was getting! The hone club saved some face by winning the finale.
