The Orioles raced out to a three run lead on the strength of Paul Blair’s three RBI’s but the Halos roared back torching Gene Brabender for four runs curtosy of Rick Reichardt and Roger Repoz. But the visitors fought back, jumping back in front after 6 innings and ace reliever Eddie Watt on in relief. But the best maid plans, the Angels batter around snagging back the lead then hung on to take the opener of the doubleheader.
