It just wasn’t Dean Chance’s day. Baltimore rattled his cage to the tune of seven runs in only 4 innings if work digging a grave sized hole for his teammates. And the O’s did it all with Frank Robinson taking the collar. The Twins were never really in this one despite Homers from the Killer and Valdespino.

NOTES: Paul Blair legged out a three bagger, giving him 11 on the tear and a tie with Bobby Allison for league head. Who would have bet that lead footed B. Robby would have 4 triples? By the way, Paul was a double short of the cycle instead of the usual triple. Moe Drabowsky gave up his first run since June 30, some 26 shutout innings. Dean Chance list has 4th straight and he, like the Twins will be glad August is over.
STAR OF THE GAME: 3-5 Triple Homer RBI
