STARTING PITCHERS

Yanks jumped all over Camilio Pascual, plating three while batting around. The Senators didn’t quit, scratching back to even on the back of Cap Peterson and Kenny McMullen. But Mgr. Gil Hodges trusted his veteran righthander too much, ultimately leaving him in one batter too long as pinch hitter Steve Whitaker took him deep proving the winning cushion for the Bronx Bombers.
