Scoreless game through 4 innings, the fifth started with light hitting Mike Hegan singling off Joe Horlen, a walk, stolen base and passed ball set up Tom TRESH to knock in two and Jake Gibbs surprised the Sox hurler with a two run blast. The Southsiders cut the lead in half but it would be as close as they would get as Fritz Peterson and two relievers locked up the nightcap.
