In almost a mirror image of the opener, the Twins plated a pair curtesy of super utility guy Cesar Tovar who scorched Fred Talbot with a two run double. And again, the next inning, the Yanks cut the lead in half, Charley Smith’s grounder this time scored a single which scored the run. Jim Merritt and Al Worthington secured the sweep.
