Ken “Hawk” Harrelson deposited the first pitch he saw from Gary Peters over the left field wall giving the Athletics and quick and early 3-0 lead. The Pale Hose chipped away off Johnny “ Blue Moon” Odom finally tying it in their half of the 5th. Kaycee used the legs of Bert Campaneris to generate a run in the 8th and recent call up Bill Staffird made sure it sufficed, give the second division A’s a three game sweep against the penthouse residents.
