The Birds nicked Mickey Lolich for a run in the 1st and just like game 1, this turned into a classic pitchers duel. Bill Freehan homered in the 6th to spoil Pete Richert’s attempt at a shutout then as the game stretched into overtime, the University of Michigan star drove home the game winner, walk off style in the 10th.
