Jim ‘Catfish’ Hunter singlehandedly beat the Yanks on this one, pitching 7 strong innings then blasting a homer that proved to be the deciding run. Tony Pierce came in in relief to fan Joe Pepitone with the bases loaded to give Catfish and the Athletics the win.
