The visiting Twins put up a 5 spot in the top of the first then watched as the Angel chipped away until in the end the Halos got the last run they needed in the bottom of the 9th, walk off style. Neither starting pitching acquitted themselves in this one, just turned out that whoever batted last won. After the first Angel pitchers held the Twins scoreless surrendering on,y one hit.

NOTES.: Poor Rich Reese, playing out of position, butchered the liner Bubba Morton hit at him which allowed the winning run to score. Woody Held had quite a game filled in quite nicely for Jim Fregosi still out with a slight groin pull. Woody is hitting .310 as a Cherub. Another trade line acquisition, Roger Repoz also playing well as half his hits have gone for extra bases. Zolio Versalles collected more RBIs in this game than he had in all of June and July. With the loss the Twins fell into 4th place and have lost 5 games in the standings to the White Sox in July.
