The Orioles recalled the imposing right-handed for the game and his certainly did not disappoint, scattering 7 hits in a complete game shutout. He apparently solved his control issues which had him toiling in the farm to correct as he did not issue any free passes.

Mark Belanger filled in for Luis Aparicio, making his first start since June 27 as he was fulfilling his military duty. Boog Powell has a six game hit streak. Darrel Knowles got knocked around again now has allowed 7 runs in his last two appearances spanning 2 innings.
