In a true pitchers duel, the game stayed scoreless until the 5th when Dave Boswell broke the deadlock rocketing a triple over Jose Cardenal’s head in left scoring the only runs of the game. The Cherubs had a chance to make it real interesting in the bottom of the 8th, when an error, single and a walk loaded the bases but Jim Kaat relieved stunting the rally. George Brunet allied just three hits in a very hard luck loss
