After spotting the Orioles a pair in the first, the Sox pounded Dave McNally who could not find the plate although at times it seemed like home plate umpire cal Drummond was squeezing the zone. Rico Petrocelli lead the charge with 5 runs batted in and George Scott added 4 more.
