Kaycee left a pair on in the 2nd but broke thru in the 3rd thanks to either Santiago’s wildness of Jose’ or the tiny strike zone of umpure Red Flaherty. Campy and Repoz walked with 2 outs and were delivered by RBI singles by Cater and Ramon Webster. Yaz Homer in the 4th halved the lead bit the A’s got it back in the 6th, Campaneris driving in the run. Top 8, Dobson tired and after a si game and a walk, Al Dark summoned Jack Aker to preserve the lead. Well singles by Scott and Conigliaro tied the game. Bottom 8, Gosger reached McMahon for a single then Phil Roof teed off on McMahon sending one into the pasture giving KC the lead again, Tony Pierce navafated around a leadoff single giving the game to the home club.
