Twins looking to make it two in a row over the Beantown Boys as both teams chase the league leading White Sox.

Top 1, the Twins put two on but get rebuked. Bottom 1, Tovar walked leading off and two outs later, Killebrew circled the bases with his fourth of the year staking the Twins yo an early 2-0 lead. Chance appeared sharp, allowing a single thru the next four innings. Bottom 5, Tovar walked again and crossed over to third on a hit and run single by Carew. Brandon induced a double play ball but Tovar tallied the third run. Top six, the Sox would get a pair back. Tartabull lead off with a walk and Yaz added a one out single. Scott followed with a single for one the Petrocelli delivered a two out RBI single. Top 8, Andrews flied to center but Yaz coaxed a walk. Scott ripped a grounds rule double for second and third, prompting Sam Mele to go get Chance. Veteran reliever Al Worthington came on and got Dalton Jones to fly to left but it was deep enough to get Yaz home with the tying run. Petrocelli then ripped one into the gap, scoring Scott easily for the lead. Top 9, Worthington allowed a run of his own when Andrews singled and scored from 1st on a Yastrzemski two bagger. McMahon had a shaker ninth, walking in a run before ending it with a whiff of Carew.
