The Pale Hose roll into the Home of Rock ‘n’ Roll for a weekend series, sitting atop the league by 2 games. The Indians looking to square their record on the season.

Both teams go six up six down, although Hargan was aided by a double play. Top 3, Hargan got the first 2 outs before Tommy John stroked a single. Buford walked and Causey beat out a slow roller to fill the bases. Tommy Agee served a single to left, plating John and when Colavito’s throw home sailed over sims head, Buford rushed hone for a 2-0 lead. Bottom three John gave up a single to Larry Brown then kept the Tribe hitless until the 9th, reciting 19 of the next 20. The Chisox padded their lead in the 7th when an error by Larry Brown opened the door for an unearned run. John worked around a single by Alvis in the 9th to go the route picking up his third win.

Altho there were 10 hits in the contest, none were of the extra base variety. The Sox tossed their third straight shutout in assembling a 4 game winning streak.
